Girls Tap Shoes
When your style is tap dancing, then there’s only one real place to look for tap shoes. For Girls tap shoes, here are a number of things you need to remember.
Whenever you’re going to learn to tap dance, you’re going to need a pair of tap shoes. They are manufactured for men, women and children, and in a variety of styles and colors to boot! (no pun intended.) As with all dance shoes, you should invest in a solid, well-made pair of dancing shoes. Here’s a few tips to help you pic a good pair of tap shoes.
First, shop around for a top name brand. Yes, when it comes to ballroom dancing shoes, name brands make a difference, such as Bloch, Balera or Capezio. These are well respected companies, and their shoes are worn from coast to coast in the United States, from Broadway to Hollywood, and internationally as well.
When it comes to dancing shoes, the old saying “you get what you pay for” applies. When it comes to the safety and comfort of your feet, I would spend more on the shoes than on the outfit!
Secondly, look at the heels of the tap shoes you are buying. You want hardy heels, which is one of the primary areas of the shoe used in tap dancing. It has to support your weight as well as your movement.
Next, you have to take a note from Dr. Scholl’s and check the insides of your shoes and look for support. Examine the material used, is it cushioned or have a soft lining? This is the comfort factor, and you will be spending a lot of time in these shoes – so they must be comfortable and not pinch or feet, give you blisters or make you sore.
Obviously, one of the best ways to buy any shoes is to try them on and see how they fit. You can get away with an improperly fitting shoe for a wedding, meeting or even a date. However, you have to have a proper fitting shoe if you are going to do any type of dancing, including tap dancing. Take your little girl and try on some shoes and get an expert opinion from one of the store attendants.
Finally, you’re buying tap shoes for a reason (tap dancing in case you forgot), so you need to make sure if the shoes come with the taps included and installed. Believe it or not, there are brands that do not include the taps when you purchase the shoes, and you’re obviously required to purchase the taps separately. Just one thing to make sure before you get the tap shoe box home and discover to taps. If that happens, switch to the soft shoe dance. Just kidding !!!!!!!!
